Armagnac 1950 Château De Laubade 750ml

Vintages that are older than 50 years benefit from the greatest care by the Cellar Master. In order to ensure the best balance for these prodigiously old brandies, they are stored in « dames-jeannes », medium glass contents that guarantee a low and highly controlled evolution of these bas armagnacs. The oldest Collection vintages rest in a small and well-kept ageing cellar called the « Paradis » (Paradise in French), a real treasure-trove of vintage armagnac. Because of the Collection vintages scarcity, those rarest armagnacs are offered in smaller 50cl bottles. The emblem of Laubade is sealed on an antique bottle, that is then protected in a handcrafted box, especially made to welcome these treasure eaux-de-vie.

Château de Laubade was built in 1870 and is today the premier Armagnac property, composed of 260 acres of single vineyard. The location is in Sorbets d’Armagnac, in the heart of the noblest area of the appellation: the Bas Armagnac. The Lesgourgues family has been running the estate since 1974. Throughout the generations, some prestigious figures have striven for Château de Laubade’s fame, always being highly involved in the vanguard techniques regarding agronomy and crafting brandies.
