In an unusual twist for typically all-American rye, this Tennessee-made whiskey is finished in French oak barrels. The end result is brisk, spicy and mouth-watering, building clove, black pepper, cinnamon and lemon peel on a base of coconut, chamomile and cedar.
Decadent cream and vanilla give way to spicy rye, sage, and green apple. The rye grain is tempered on the palate allowing sultry cocoa and caramel to come forward with hints of pepper and herbal tea. Very complex and long.
